About Our Founder

James Sarner is the Founder and Managing Director of JMS Risk Solutions, bringing nearly 20 years of frontline and strategic experience in security, risk, and resilience. He has held senior in-house leadership positions and high-level advisory roles, supporting complex, high-profile organisations in navigating today’s dynamic threat landscape. James has led and developed national and international security operations, enterprise risk programmes, and resilience strategies for leading brands across public, private, corporate, retail, technology, and hospitality sectors.

James holds an MBA in Risk and Resilience, is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and a BSI-certified Lead Implementer of ISO 27001 and ISO 22301, the international standards for information security and business continuity. As a registered consultant and full member of the Association of Security Consultants (ASC), he is respected for his integrity, discretion, and dedication to the highest professional standards.

James also serves as the UK Hub President and Director of International Development at the Institute of Strategic Risk Management (ISRM), a global network advancing best practice, innovation, and collaboration across a forward-thinking, professional community.
