James Sarner is the Founder and Managing Director of JMS Risk Solutions, bringing nearly 20 years of frontline and strategic experience in security, risk and resilience. His career spans senior in-house leadership and high-level advisory roles, supporting complex, high-profile organisations as they navigate today’s evolving threat landscape.
He has led national and international security operations, enterprise risk programmes and resilience strategies for globally recognised brands across sectors including public, private, corporate, retail, technology, and hospitality. Known for his composed leadership in high-pressure environments, James combines strategic insight with operational acumen to deliver measurable outcomes and long-term value.
James holds an MBA in Risk and Resilience, along with multiple industry certifications, including the Certified Protection Professional (CPP) accreditation, recognised internationally as the gold standard in security management. As a fully registered consultant and full member of the Association of Security Consultants (ASC), he is respected for his integrity, discretion and unwavering commitment to the highest professional standards.
